This latest Babylon 5 convention was held at the Burbank Airport Hilton in Burbank, California on Sunday, September 13, 1998. It was put on by Creation. Both the John and Delenn Forum and the Bruce Boxleitner Grapevine were enthusiastically represented. Oh yeah, the JSEB/BBEB were probably the best represented groups. <G>

Pam has a Bring 'Em Back Alive book with the most **wonderful** pictures of Bruce that I have ever seen. Some of them are black and white, some of them are in color. Frankly, it didn't matter.

We were all there with our cameras, zoom lenses extended, to try to capture the moment. Pam had decided to have Bruce sign her How The West Was Won lunch pail and then, the bare chested pic from her Bring 'Em Back Alive book. He seemed pleasantly surprised that Pam had that lunch pail and he signed it. Then, the moment we had all been waiting for arrived. My guess is that Bruce had never before seen this book. He looked at the cover. That was normal enough. Then, he opened it to the *VERY* sexy, bare chested pic of him. His reaction was wonderful! (and my pic of that reaction came out real nice)

Then he said "WHOA!!! What a hunk of burnin' love!"

Bruce also mentioned how terrified he was of JMS at times. JMS would be standing off in a corner watching him during filming and invariably Bruce would flub his lines because he was so worried about blowing them in front of him!

Bruce had a few BBQ's at his house this summer and invited the cast and Peter and Andreas both brought their kids. The camaraderie among the three of them was really neat to watch on stage and they put their arms around each other several times while they were up there.

Here are J&D Forum members with Bruce:

Left to right behind Bruce are Laura Jorge, Larissa Cochron, Karen Savage, Char Stanley (all Grapeviners,) and Pam Buck.

Thank you Karen and Char for all the pictures!
